Douglas G. Bailey
Chairman
Douglas G. Bailey has been a director of Fuel Tech since April 1998. He served as Deputy Chairman from 2002 through 2009, and was appointed Chairman in January 2010. He became an employee of Fuel Tech in January 2004. Mr. Bailey, who is the son of Ralph E. Bailey, has been the President of American Bailey Corporation (ABC), a privately owned business acquisition and development company, since 1984 and its Chief Executive Officer since 1996.

Chairman Emeritus
Ralph E. Bailey is the retired Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Conoco, Inc. and retired Vice Chairman of the Board of E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont). Mr. Bailey is currently Chairman of American Bailey Corporation, a privately owned investment company, and Chairman Emeritus of Fuel Tech.

His directorships include Fuel Tech, Great Northern Properties Management Corporation, and the Advisory Council of J.P. Morgan. Past directorships include J.P. Morgan, General Signal Corporation, IC Industries, Abex Corporation, DuPont, The Williams Companies, Rowan Companies, Inc., Clean Diesel Technologies, Inc., and the National Forest Foundation. He was former Chairman of the National Petroleum Council and the American Mining Congress.

John F. Norris Jr.
President and Chief Executive Officer
John F. Norris Jr. attended North Carolina State University on a football scholarship and graduated with a B.S. degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1971. After serving 10 years as an officer and fighter pilot in the U.S. Air Force, he joined Duke Power Company in 1982 as an Assistant Engineer, progressing to Engineering Manager by 1988. He became President and CEO of Duke Engineering & Services in 1989 and held this position until 1998 when he was named Senior Vice President of Duke Energy Corporation and Chairman and CEO of Duke Energy Global Asset Development. In 1999 Mr. Norris left Duke Energy to become President and COO of the American Bureau of Shipping Group before joining American Electric Power (AEP) as Senior Vice President, Operations and Technical Services, which included responsibility for the operation of all of AEP’s non-nuclear wholesale assets. Mr. Norris left AEP in 2003 to become a consultant to companies in energy-related industries, including Fuel Tech, where he became an Executive Consultant in April 2005 and was named President and CEO in February 2006.

Mr. Norris has served on the Board of Directors of a number of companies and not-for-profit organizations, including his current role on the Board of Advisors to the College of Engineering and the Department of Nuclear Engineering at North Carolina State University. Mr. Norris is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, North Carolina and Alabama. He is also a member of the American Nuclear Society, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Robert E. Puissant
Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Mr. Puissant joined Fuel Tech in August 2009 as Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales. Prior to joining Fuel Tech, he served as an Operating Executive and Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development for School Specialty, Inc., a $1 billion education company serving the PreK - 12 market. Previous to that, Mr. Puissant was employed by Wisconsin Energy Corporation, where he held the positions of Senior Vice President, Customer Analysis and Planning and Senior Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Planning. In related energy industry involvement, he held Advisory Board of Director roles with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the Natural Gas Vehicle Coalition (NGVC). Mr. Puissant also held a number of positions during a 20-year span at Novell, Inc., Inacom Corporation and Ameritech Corporation. Mr. Puissant earned a B.S. in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin and an M.B.A. from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management - Northwestern University, with emphasis in Marketing, Sales Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness.

John P. Graham
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer
Mr. Graham joined Fuel Tech in April 2008 as Senior Vice President and was named Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in June 2008. Prior to joining Fuel Tech, Mr. Graham served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hub International Limited, a $500 million North American insurance brokerage. From 2002 through 2006, he was Senior Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Assistant Secretary of Career Education Corporation. Prior positions include Vice President of Investor Relations and Financial Reporting for Newell Rubbermaid, Manager of Financial Planning at Kraft General Foods and an Audit Supervisor with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Chicago.

Mr. Graham graduated with a B.S. degree in Accounting from Indiana University in Bloomington and received his Masters of Business Administration degree from DePaul University in Chicago. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant.

Vincent M. Albanese
Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Albanese assumed the position of Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs in February 2007. In this capacity, Mr. Albanese represents Fuel Tech for liaison with federal, state and regional environmental agencies. Previously, Mr. Albanese was Senior Vice President, Regulatory Affairs and Advanced Technology since 2006, Senior Vice President, Air Pollution Control since 2000, Vice President, Air Pollution Control since 1998, and Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Nalco Fuel Tech since 1990.

Mr. Albanese was a member of EPA's Acid Rain Advisory Committee, and currently serves as a Managing Director and Vice President of the Institute of Clean Air Companies; he served as chairman of its NOx Division for the past 11 years. He is a member of the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners, serving on its Environmental Committee. Mr. Albanese received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Manhattan College in 1970 and his M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Villanova in 1973.

Stephen P. Brady
Senior Vice President, Fuel Chem Sales
Mr. Brady became Senior Vice President, Fuel Chem Sales on January 1, 2009. He joined Fuel Tech in 1998 as Vice President, Fuel Chem. He was promoted to Senior Vice President, Fuel Chem in 2002 and to Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing in April 2006. Mr. Brady was raised in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Miami University, where he graduated with an engineering degree in 1978. He also attended the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. Mr. Brady spent two years with Johnson & Johnson and 18 years with Nalco Chemical Company in a variety of sales and management positions, primarily focused on the electric utility, steel, paper and refining industries. Among his industry experiences were managing growth in water treatment applications and the early introduction of fuel treatment technologies.

William E. Cummings, Jr.
Senior Vice President, Air Pollution Control Sales
Mr. Cummings became Senior Vice President, Air Pollution Control Sales on January 1, 2009. Previously, he had been Vice President, Sales since April 2006; Vice President, Air Pollution Control Sales since May 2000; Director, Utility Sales since April 1998; and Director, Eastern Region since 1994. Mr. Cummings has 29 years of experience in the Air Pollution field. He has held positions as National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Manager with the world's leading Flue Gas Conditioning Company, Engineering Specialist for a leading Architect/Engineering firm, Field Engineer and Applications Engineer for a leading Electrostatic Precipitator Supplier, and Field Technician and Laboratory Technician for a regional Emissions Testing Company. He has sold and or participated in over 400 Air Pollution control projects to date in the United States and Canada. Mr. Cummings holds an AS in Environmental Sciences and has completed additional skills training at numerous venues, including Harvard Law School and the University of Michigan.

M. Linda Lin
Senior Vice President, China/Pacific Rim
Dr. Lin was promoted to Vice President in 2006 and to Senior Vice President, China/Pacific Rim in 2008. She has been with Fuel Tech since the inception of Nalco Fuel Tech in 1990 where she held a dual-duty position of Marketing Manager for Asia and Research Manager. Prior to that, Dr. Lin was at Nalco Company for 28 years.

Born in Nanjing, China, Dr. Lin grew up in Taiwan where she graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Taiwan University. She continued graduate studies and earned a Ph.D. degree in Catalysis from Texas A&M University.

With over two dozen Fuel Tech air pollution control (APC) systems sold and operated in Taiwan and the Republic of Korea, Dr. Lin has been a successful marketer of Fuel Tech’s APC products in Asia. These include the first commercial NOxOUT® SNCR systems for cement kilns and NOxOUT-SCR® systems for diesel engines. She has been instrumental in setting up the region’s sales infrastructure as well as building relationships with government and industrial agencies, engineering firms and a large customer base. She is credited with placing Fuel Tech in an enviable leading position in China’s NOx emissions reduction and energy savings TIFI® markets. Dr. Lin’s talents also include the development of many significant chemical products such as 8263/8263+, used in TIFI® applications. She is the inventor or co-inventor of over 20 U.S. patents and has authored or co-authored approximately 100 publications in water and air pollution control. She was an Adjunct Professor in the MBA curriculum at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s (IIT) Stewart Business School in Chicago.

Albert G. Grigonis
Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Grigonis joined Fuel Tech in 2003, having held a succession of legal positions until his election as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in December 2008. Previously, Mr. Grigonis was Legal Director for the 3Com Corporation, a high technology computer electronics firm, and served over 16 years in a variety of legal roles as an attorney for Motorola, Inc., a high technology electronics firm. Mr. Grigonis received his law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law.
