Fireshield®

Chemical reagent designed to mitigate SO3 and corrosion issues on oil-fired units

The Fireshield® chemical includes a number of fouling and slag control agents to prevent the adverse effects of fuel contaminants such as sulfur, sodium, calcium, vanadium, potassium and zinc. These highly reflective deposits minimize heat transfer and reduce boiler efficiency.

The Fireshield® product is added directly to the fuel oil and is specifically designed to mitigate SO3 and corrosion issues on oil fired units using No. 6 oil and heavy fuel oil. Fireshield has also been formulated to include combustion catalysts designed to reduce loss on ignition and improve boiler efficiency. Fireshield has a track record of proven performance and is an economical option to other fuel oil additives.
